Celanese Acetate Kansas State University Linings Comfort Study In 1999, the Institute of Environment Research at Kansas State University conducted a study to determine the perceived difference in the comfort between acetate and polyester linings. Findings Results from the Comfort Study indicate that acetate linings were perceived as more comfortable - less sticky, non-absorbent, less clammy, and less damp - than polyester linings.
