Sandra
Beach Lin is a Corporate Executive Vice President for Celanese Corporation, a $6.8 billion leading,
global chemical company based in Dallas, Texas. She joined Celanese in July 2007 from Avery Dennison
Corporation where she was group vice president of Specialty Materials and Converting Worldwide, a $1.4
billion global business unit of Avery Dennison.
Sandra is responsible for driving
global strategic leadership for the company’s activities related to corporate social responsibility
and sustainability. As a Corporate Executive Vice President, Sandra serves as a member of the Celanese
Office of the Chairman and is an integral leader in setting overall corporate strategy. Previously,
she was responsible for Celanese's Advanced Engineered Materials and Consumer Specialties businesses,
which had combined 2008 revenues of approximately $2.2 billion and products that hold leading positions
in their key markets.
Before joining Avery Dennison, Sandra was the president
of Alcoa Closure Systems International in Chicago, Ill. Prior to that assignment, she was president of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and vice president
and general manager, Specialty Wax and Additives, both divisions of Honeywell International. She spent
several years in Asia managing businesses in that region.
Sandra has a bachelor's
degree in Business Administration from the University of Toledo and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
