CHEMICAL LAB TECHNICIAN

As a chemical lab technician, you will be responsible for the precision analysis of substances in one of our company’s laboratories. You will work largely independently in preparing, executing and evaluating chemical trials. You will work closely with chemical engineers and the head of the laboratory.

The apprenticeship
In cooperation with Provadis Bildung & Beratung GmbH  you will study the fundamentals necessary to become a chemical lab technician. You will learn about chemical processes and how to use apparatus in chemical plants. You will work with chemical analysis methods in our training lab, and then have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in our company’s laboratories. Your apprenticeship includes a final examination by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Your Profile

• Good high school grade point average
• Interest in natural science experiments
• Good knowledge of math and natural sciences
• Reliable, conscientious and responsible

Start of the program
Every September.

Length of the Program
It takes 3 years to complete the apprenticeship program.

Apprenticeship compensation in the State of Hesse (as of March 2008):

1. year of the program: € 679 per month
2. year of the program: € 742 per month
3. year of the program: € 819 per month
