INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY

As an industrial mechanic specialized in mechanical engineering and systems technology in our company you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, plants, pumps, gears and motors. Your responsibilities will include manufacturing machinery and its components. You will work in our production plants or research laboratories.

The apprenticeship
You will receive comprehensive basic training in cooperation with Provadis Bildung & Beratung GmbH. You will learn production technology processes and means for optimizing your manual skills. The training focuses on techniques for working with metal and plastics, such as filing, chiseling, sawing, drilling, turning and milling. You will also learn installation and maintenance techniques as well as how to read technical drawings.

You will have the opportunity to apply your skills during the practical training periods in our workshops and production plants.

Your Profile

• Good high school grade point average
• Good manual dexterity and an interest in technology
• Good math skills
• Reliability and ability to perform highly detailed work

Start of the program
Every September.

Length of the Program
It normally takes 3.5 years to complete the apprenticeship program, although the program can be completed in 3 years if you study effectively.

Apprenticeship compensation in the State of Hesse (as of March 2008):

1. year of the program: € 679 per month
2. year of the program: € 742 per month
3. year of the program: € 819 per month
4. year of the program: € 891 per month
