Nutrinova gained "higher level" rating at BRC Global Food Standard | ||
| Implementation of BRC Global Food Standard and successful re-certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 underline Nutrinova's commitment to food safety and security | ||
Nutrinova, an international supplier of food ingredients, gained “higher level” rating with the implementation of the BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Food Standard. Additionally, Nutrinova has been successfully re-certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2004 for its high-intensity sweetener Sunett® (acesulfame K) and its preservatives sorbic acid and potassium sorbate. Proactive advancement The BRC has created a global food standard for the supply of food products incorporating EU legislation and best practise requirements regarding food safety management. The standard possesses a comprehensive scope covering all areas of product safety and legality, and addresses part of the due diligence requirements of both the supplier and the retailers. The standard covers such critical topics as: HACCP-System, quality management, factory environmental standard, and product and process control. With the implementation of the BRC standard, Nutrinova has proactively followed the increasing requirements of manufacturers of retailers’ own brand products to the extent that even their ingredients suppliers comply with the BRC standards.
