Celanese Acetate LLC Announces Price Increase | ||
NEW YORK, N.Y., - Celanese Acetate LLC today announced a global price increase of 3 –5 percent, effective February 1, 2004 for all acetate filament products. Acetate filament is mainly used in textile applications. Company officials said that the price increase is necessary to cover recent increases in energy and raw material prices. The announced increase does not apply to the company’s acetate tow product line. Celanese Acetate, a business of Celanese AG, is the world’s largest cellulose acetate filament producer. | ||
