Paris, France (26 November 2007) – The Celanese Acetate exhibit
at TABEXPO 2007 this week underscored the company’s commitment to being the highest quality, most customer
responsive supplier of acetate tow for filter applications. With more than 40 years of experience in
creating technology and materials for filter applications, Celanese has global manufacturing capability,
supported by expert technical service. Utilized on some of the most demanding high-speed production
equipment in operation, Celanese acetate tow is derived from highly purified wood pulp from reforested
trees. Celanese’s portfolio of acetate tow products meets the most stringent processing requirements
of the filter industry while creating filters that are odorless, taste-free and environmentally-friendly.
According
to Bob Walters, vice president, Sales & Marketing, the Celanese Acetate commitment to acetate tow
leadership starts with providing a consistent, high-quality product that supports its customers’ brands
and adds decades of experience and world-class resources to provide competitive advantages. “At Celanese
Acetate, we want to be a strategic resource for our customers as they use our acetate tow to develop
some of the most desirable filter end-products in the world,” Walters said. “Our technical services
teams excel at helping our customers enhance quality, improve processing and lower costs. We believe
that Celanese Acetate offers the optimal combination of high-performance product, consistent order delivery
and expertise to today’s filter market,” Walters added.
A world-class
commitment to the filter industry
During TABEXPO, Celanese Acetate presented its
global manufacturing and process development capabilities that form the basis of its leadership position
in the filter market. Celanese Acetate production facilities are located in Belgium, the United Kingdom,
The United Sates and Mexico. Celanese also has joint venture projects in Kunming, Nantong and Zhuhai,
China. Large-scale acetate tow production on three continents offers the filter industry the security
of supply it needs on a global basis. The same high level of product uniformity is assured from each
of the Celanese facilities. According to Walters, Celanese Acetate has advanced the process technologies
of the filter industry to support improvements in end-product quality and to minimize production costs.
“We are at our best when we work with our customers on innovative ways to maximize the value of acetate
tow in high-speed filter production lines. It’s our way of helping the industry build and protect their
product brands in a competitive marketplace,” Walters said.
